A rumour is doing the rounds today that Tom Cruise pitched the idea of a Beckham biopic to Paramount, who optioned it, before Cruise and the Studio parted ways. It is thought Tom could produce or advise on the script and that his wife Katie Holmes will play Posh Spice and a British actor (Jason Stratham and Paul Bettany have been mentioned) would be lined up to play Becks. I’m not sure if this rumour is true, the story has not come out of any reputable film source and comes right on the heels of Becks mentioning Tom Cruise in an interview given to The Mirror. So stay tuned and I’ll post a follow up as soon as I hear anything to substantiate this. I do think a Becks biopic would be interesting, but I can’t think of any actor handsome enough to play Becks!

Finally, a story has been doing the rounds that David Beckham would no longer be part of Gillettes marketing strategy and today The Sun has reported this is untrue, story here. There are so many lies written about Becks every day it is impossible to keep up with it! It’s nice to see at least one rubbish story being corrected!
