Becks bound for Tokyo

Another quickie, not just for me but also for Becks it seems - quick trip that is! David Beckham is scheduled to make a flying visit to Tokyo, Japan this Friday to appear at some promotional events for Motorola according to this news report. The motorazr japan site I posted about last month is live now you can check out the events area for more details, there are also two very cool wallpapers to download. If you are in Tokyo be on Becks alert!
In other news a number of sports sites are reporting that Becks has until December 31st to advise Real Madrid on whether he intends renewing his contract or not. Of course this isn't really that big a news story after all Real Madrid were always going to want to be advised before January 1 arrived, as under Bosman rules, Becks is in a position to talk to other clubs and even arrange a pre-contract ahead of the Summer, from this date.

Hopefully he doesn't ReSign with Real Madrid or go to Chelski.
In my view it all comes down to the England National Team. The current Non Selection has nothing and really nothing to do with the sporting side - it's a personal thing from McLarren - to satisfy his ego or the one from most of the press.
If Becks thinks that when he plays good enough he would get a fair chance to play again for England he will stay in Europe and it would be nice if he would join one of those Italian clubs (AC Milan, Inter, Juve)
If that's not the case he should try to make Soccer BIG in the US @Manchester United USA formerly known as LA Galaxy
Let me Explain:
Adidas sponsors MLS
Adidas sponsors Becks
1 of currently 2 Becks Academys is based in Los Angeles.
Alexi Lallas (President of LA Galaxy) admitted he'd love to sign Becks
I have a lot of the following Info(s) from someone inside OT (Old Trafford) who snapped up some "thoughts" by the Glazers who did alredy previously report on other things that most of it turned out to be true.
STILL MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND.
Since the Glazers are interested in expanding the Manchester United Brand to a houshold name in the US, maximising potential revenue channels they are looking into buying a MLS club (a franchise and renaming, recoloring, rebranding them) - this is nothing unusual in the US. of corse that would mean being a joint venture: probably making the marketing stuff together, having similiar outfits etc etc.
Additionaly there were some talks on the corridor that Adidas was already looking for a Club Beckham Logo and wanting to "buy a franchise" themselves.

Hiya Ben,
Interesting stuff thanks for posting that... personally I don't see him re-signing but I'll still be watching the news on Sunday lol I just think if Becks was going to renew he wouldn't leave it till Dec 31st to do it... in fact I think this is a bit of a non-story. As RM and Becks and his advisors have had a long time to think about this and decisions won't be only being made now. Still if Becks doesn't re-sign by the end of the month that doesn't mean he definitely won't, but it does make it very unlikely and RM have to be hoping to sell him in the window so that they save some financial face... to let a player like David Beckham leave a club on a total free has to be a bean counters worst nightmare surely?
You have a very Happy New Year too :))
