Real Madrid 2 - 2 Dynamo Kiev

The official match report and photos are now online. David Beckham had a great game and was integral to salvaging the draw as Ronaldo's first goal and the only Real Madrid goal from open play, came from a David Beckham corner. Becks also went incredibly close to scoring himself from 20 yards but the shot was unfortunately deflected off the woodwork. He also put in a number of excellent crosses that went frustratingly close to being converted, including a cross only moments from full-time that would have given Real Madrid the win, but it was not to be. Uefa referred to David Beckham as "Madrid's standout performer" in their match report (source) but I can not find any comments of praise from Capello. However, Ronaldo was quick to praise him for his instrumental role in helping the team earn a share of the spoils (Source)
"David is a player that understands me completely," he cadded. "Without looking forward he knows where I want the ball and I understand what he is going to do."
The first of the agency pics are in the gallery. Unfortunately there are less photos of Becks than usual from the match and I was expecting the opposite because Becks started the game. Perhaps they're just slow coming out today, I'll go check :-)

David looks great as usual and I am glad he got to play. I am undecide about whether I want him to stay or not. As you said before, Capello is "resting" his key players, which allowed Davvid to play. If David isn't a key player than I don't know who is. It is being said that the club is urging Capello to allow more playing time for David, so if that is the casem than I hope its true.

I just want David to be at a club who appreciates his talents and skills, which are amazing! Thank you for the continued updates hun.

Thanks for the updates. It's glad to know that Beckham had a great game. However, though I'd already lost my hope on Capello, it's still frustrated to find that Capello did not recognize his excellence on the pitch. On the other hand, Ronaldo is really warm to Beckham. Thanks for his nice words. Good luck to both of them!

Ronaldo may grabbed the headlines with his 2 goals but MoM was Becks at least from Madrid IMO. Even the usually a bit critical UEFA.com praised him.

the Black Away Dress with his Shoes - Awesome Combo IMO

In Summer he'll be gone for Sure. Just look with who he had to play - it was a game which Real didn't want to play at all if they could have choosen.

Rested/Suspended/Injuried 11 Players

Casillas
Cicinho
Ramos
Cannavaro
Helguera
Emerson
Guti
Reyes
Robinho
Raul
Nistelrooy

That just shows how much/less they rate him

Well, in my humble opinion, Beckham's RM career is totally destroyed by Capello!!! Capello's blatant favouritism is sickening. Just look at who is occupying the right-midfield -- it's Raul, a left-footed striker who had been out of form for 2 consecutive season, and who played crap at the beginning of this season. However, he is just a fixture in the starting XI of RM, regardless of his form. No matter how good Beckham performs, he will never get the starting place he deserved.

Sorry for my grumbles, but I'm really tired of all these unfairness.............

I agree that it is unfair the way David is being treated.. he is being treated like a second-rate player, being used for marketing rights! David deserves much more than that, he deserves to be at a club who will appreciate his great talents!
