The Joy of Becks

I have added some photos of a very happy looking David Beckham at Real Madrid training this morning to the gallery. I didn’t realise until I saw these photos just how long it had been since I’d seen Becks with a smile that wide! Perhaps the prospect of regular game time and a fresh new challenge agrees with him
Photos and training session report are also on the official Real Madrid site
Sir Alex Ferguson, David Beckham’s former Manager at Manchester United has wished Becks all the best in his career, you can view his comments here.
Iker Casillas also paid tribute to Becks at a press conference following this morning’s training session, full story here. He said -
“He is a great player and a great professional and has always given everything for Real Madrid,” the goalkeeper told a news conference on Friday. “He’s also a magnificent person.”
The full transcript of Iker’s press conference is now on the official site.
You can see a clip that includes footage from this mornings RM training session at Reuters. The reporter suggests that with the emphasis being placed on the new young recruits at Real Madrid, Becks may not see much game time for the remainder of his contract. Unfortunately, given all the circumstances that is somewhat expected.

He bettered to enjoy training! Because it is his only exercise. The next six months will be a hell, he will not get to play at all!!

2007 something to smile about
Don't know how much of that below is true, but it may be worth checking it out.1. Becks is on a flight to the USA.(after the Traing ?)He will be doing Good Morning America, a morning news show on the American ABC Network as well as other news shows. 2. He will also be doing a press conference for LA Galaxy in Los Angeles tomorrow. It will be 11am Pacific Time or 7pm UK time. (You can watch the conference online at http://www.lagalaxy.com)3. LA Galaxy is in the process of announcing who their Jersey sponsor is, that should happen within days to 1 week. 4. LA Galaxy is planning and has announced an Asia tour to take place in 2008 5. LA Galaxy will be playing a tournament vs Chelsea this summer (planned last summer) 6. There is still a chance Beckham will see international football at club level:the "CONCACAF" Champions League and Copa Libertadores not to mention the FIFA Club World Championship. Ben

Thanks Ben! I have posted his appearance on Good Morning America – it was via satellite hook up so I don't know if he has flown to the US today or not – haven't seen any reports on that. Tomorrows press conference could be a video conference? Anyway thanks for the head ups
