Happy David Beckham

I have added some photos of a very happy looking David Beckham at Real Madrid training this morning to the gallery. I didn’t realise until I saw these photos just how long it had been since I’d seen Becks with a smile that wide! Perhaps the prospect of regular game time and a fresh new challenge agrees with him :) Photos and training session report are also on the official Real Madrid site

Sir Alex Ferguson, David Beckham’s former Manager at Manchester United has wished Becks all the best in his career, you can view his comments here.

Iker Casillas also paid tribute to Becks at a press conference following this morning’s training session, full story here. He said -

“He is a great player and a great professional and has always given everything for Real Madrid,” the goalkeeper told a news conference on Friday. “He’s also a magnificent person.”

You can see a clip that includes footage from this mornings RM training session at Reuters. The reporter suggests that with the emphasis being placed on the new young recruits at Real Madrid, Becks may not see much game time for the remainder of his contract. Unfortunately, given all the circumstances that is somewhat expected.
