David Beckham may miss derby
As.com reports this morning that David Beckham will miss next weekend's Madrid derby match against Atletico Madrid through suspension if his red card stands. Real Madrid will tomorrow review a tape of the game and specifically the incident that resulted in Becks being sent off, and will make a decison then as to whether they appeal. Capello said in his post match presser "We will play on Tuesday and on Sunday, so everybody will have a chance to play this week", so it is possible that even if the red card stands it will have mimimal impact if some squad rotation was already planned, as Becks can still play in the Champions League and is a probable starter, full preview online here.

I was just behind him when it happened and I think a yellow card would have been enough

We're going to need to play better against Bayern, Capello must sort out why we make few chances and have not enough opportunity to score. We are lucky to have a weak competitor for knock out hope we make most and then team and Beckham can go on!

yes... but the crowd gave him lots of appreciation and was the last minute so was not so bad, is a shame that foul on Becks not given that could have changed the result :(

The fans were good but it is the aftermath of him being sent off, with the repetitive media etc.... and it is in the record books, even in the unlikely event that the red card is overturned ....I just hope that was the last red card of his career.....Phew

I hope it is last red card too I wonder what the quality of referees is like in MLS hopefully they aren't too card happy!

Becks is great. I loved it when he scored a couple of weeks ago and saved Cappello's job. Cappelo's face was great Becks for england
