David Beckham Mentor

david beckham mentor

There is a nice article in this morning's Guardian about Mentor's and their proteges. It features a piece on David Beckham and Henrietta Brockway a young golfer on the rise. Full story here It is obvious that Becks takes a lot of pleasure from his involvement in his Academies and the opportunity to work with and inspire young people and in turn I think that says a lot about what a special person he is.

David Beckham is also an inspiration to his team mates. In a recent interview with FHM Iker Casillas named David Beckham as his favorite style icon and fashion influence!

Here's hoping Real Madrid win tonight. As it is a home game Becks may be there to cheer the team on. Hala Madrid!

Where do you get all of the information from? You seem to know everything about David. I mean you even know that he receives strange messages and that because of that somebody else reads them first. Also, did you ever find the contest info.?

Well, I've been a fan of Becks for a long time now :) I get my info from the papers, documentaries on him, interviews, his books etc. For example it was in one of his books that he mentioned that he gets bags of mail a week and that someone else goes through it and then pases some of it to him, he mentioned getting things like womens underwear in the mail lol It's all completely public info.

I had a look for the contest info as I thought I saw that there was going to be a contest for a chance to go to Madrid for a kick about with him offerred by Motorola but it seems to have finished. I will let you know if I see anything current :)

Real Madrid match's is starting, and with just 6 minutes on a red card to the opposing team and a free kick given to Real Madrid just outside the penalty box. The commentator was spot on when he said on the free kick 'no david beckham no roberto carlos, who's going to take the free kick' it was Guti and the shot was deflected for a Madrid corner. then the commentator said as Raul takes a corner that it was a bit awkward for him to take it. this may be the face of Madrid next season. And with 11-10, I hope Madrid takes the advantage and win this one :)

The commentator is funny...he really would miss beckham as he keeps pointing out that there's nobody to shoot long range and the passing is too slow. Real Madrid needs to attack Casillas already has to make significant saves.

Hi Marie

Yeah it is frustrating a team facing relegation with only 10 men and still we don't score... closest we came was the own goal that Casillas luckily deflected to spare our blushes. We have no attack - we don't even look dangerous. Cassano moaned and moaned about not being picked time to put up antonio, he thinks he deserved to be selected? Put the ball in the back of the net and then I'll believe you lol :))

I'll be adding photos of Becks at the game in the next few minutes! It was good to win, though we didn't play so well. next game is April 1 and we should have a healthier squad to pick from and soon after that Becks should be back! Boy do they need him badly!
