Thanks. Good words from Lalas. Becks will certainly demonstrate the power of his right foot when he starts playing for them.......then they will see Beckham bending it live in action in the US ....hehe

Oooh, moms everywhere are now thrown into quite a state of worry about the boys rushing back from injury too soon! As far as we can tell no athlete in any sport at any age has ever resisted given the choice... Here's hoping the physios stand firm for once if necessary, we want as healthy and exciting and end season--and beyond--as possible! Do I really HAVE to fly out myself... :)

It's good news he is recovering, he won't be cleared to play until he is ready to play RM do not want him to play one game and not be able to play the next. He also takes good care of himself. There is no reason for concern - he is experienced in these matters and Real Madrid are experienced in these matters, injuries and so on are just a part of football. It will be handled the same way dozens of injuries and re-inclusions are handled at every club in Europe, every year.

Hi Diane,

I hear ya! But look at it this way, the longer Becks takes too heal the worse off he actually is, the fact the knee is healing well, there's no complications and he's not going to lose a lot of match fitness is excellent because longer term and more serious injuries are tougher to come back from because a lot of fitness is lost. The reality is the doctors said 4 weeks approx on March 5th and he is a maybe for a subs appearance on April 1, that puts him about 2 days ahead of the time frame given so really he's pretty much on track :) Let's hope he is!
