Real Madrid 1 - 1 Getafe

david beckham injured

David Beckham sustained a knee injury during the draw against Getafe. There is a medical report on the official Real Madrid site (Source) - I have translated via babel
Bad luck for Real Madrid in the party against the Getafe. Four of the players of the team were injured. Reyes suffered an injury to the interior lateral ligament of his left leg, identical injury to the one that Beckham suffers, but in his case to the right leg. In the case of HiguaĆn, his ailment is a contusion with hematoma in quadriceps straight. Van Nistelrooy has the same contusion but in the left leg. Tomorrow in the Sport City of Valdebebas they will be examined to determine the seriousness of their injuries.
We will all have to pray for Becks and send all the positive healing energy we can in his direction!

Update - Unfortunately, it is not good news. Fabio Capello has indicated that both Reyes and Beckham have been ruled out of the Bayern Munich game through injury, full story here. Of course, the diagnosis will only be confirmed by scans carried out tomorrow, but Capello said
"They are ruled out of the Bayern game, for sure," said Capello. "One of the injuries is serious [referring to Reyes], the other we will have to see [with respect to Beckham]."
David Beckham will be frustrated by this injury and disappointed to miss the Champions League match in Munich. As fans I know you will all be feeling for him at this difficult time. Let's hope for the best possible news from tomorrow's scans and a speedy recovery for Becks and all of Real Madrid's walking wounded.

The first of the photos are in the gallery. The official match report and photos are online here. You can see video highlights including Becks great shot on goal which hit the crossbar online at AS.

I have also added some photos of Brooklyn and his friends having a birthday party in the Stands to the gallery, poor Brooklyn hope he still had a nice time, such a shame his Dad was injured on his Birthday :(

I think its the lingering injury...it seems like whenever I watch a match these days whether its the Premiership or La Liga, injuries are there. It seems like the injury report is longer than the squad list for a match. I really hope Beckham's injury is not serious.
