Real Madrid 2 - 0 Gimnastic

David Beckham attended tonight's game at the Santiago Bernabeu and will have been happy to see his team-mates score an important victory. This takes Real Madrid into third spot in La Liga with Valencia having lost yesterday and means that they remain five points behind leaders, Barcelona. There will now be a break in La Liga while Euro 2008 qualifiers are held over the next week and Real Madrid will play again on April 1 when they will face Celta away. So far there has only been one photo of Becks in the stands but hopefully more will follow, it's in the gallery.

I like that Beckham always watches Real Madrid play in the stands, shows how he really supports the team.

I think you are expected to go if you are injured and it's a home game. When he was injured and he went to Rome he had to come back and be at the game... I dont think that it's anything out of the ordinary that he is there...

Thanks for the info last night. I'm glad they won and I really like how Beckham is always supporting his team even if it is from the stands. I couldn't watch the game because it was not on Tv here in the U.S. so thank you so much for telling who won

They only have to be present for rehab or training as instructed. If they live far away, some players go home for treatment or some go to rehab facilities with specialists--with club approval. Sometimes they are told to rest. Any player that's required to be there, that isn't dressing, sits behind the managers.
