Photo additions
I've added another 20 photos of David Beckham from Saturday's game to the 'RM this week' gallery. There are also four photos of Becks heading out for lunch yesterday in Madrid in the 'out and about' gallery
Finally, Sid Lowe is tipping Real Madrid to win La Liga in his own inimitable and very sarcastic way. You can view his oh so funny column here.

Great translation Anna you got it pretty close to perfect, if not perfect.
He sure will be missed next season, and lets hope that he leaves with a title.

First, I wanted to say that I come here everyday to check the updates. You really do a great job. Hope you'll keep doing it during many years to come! :-)
Second, erm...I'm a bit embarassed to post it, but I was googling and found it:
http://sport.scotsman.com/football.cfm?id=580962007
It talks about many things, but the part that got my attention was the one about Becks and it says that he PROBABLY will be one of the first interviewees of a new BBC 1 sports programme.
It says:
------
'A NEW sports programme on Monday evenings on BBC1, to be presented by Gabby Logan, is set to go head-to-head with Scotsport. Inside Sport is the title of the 45-minute show, on which Logan will be joined by Sir Matthew Pinsent among others for a magazine-style format with interviews, features and investigations.
The first show will be broadcast at 11pm on 30 April.
It is not, insists a BBC spokesman, modelled on John Inverdale's old show, On Side. "It won't just be guests sitting on a sofa chatting," says the spokesman, though this seemed to work pretty well with On Side. And although David Beckham is rumoured to be one of the first interviewees, Inside Sport won't be celebrity driven or too focused on the major sports.
"It'll be across all sports, wherever there are interesting stories to be told," adds the spokesman.'
------
It maybe be true, it maybe not, it is only a rumour until now.
But it's better stay tuned. Just in case. :-D
Just to finish. I think this interview is to Revista De La Liga. Anyway, it seems very emotional.

To the first commenter - Thanks! I was pleased when the english transalation appeared on the Real Madrid site so I could take my "guesslation" down :)
To the second commenter - I think you are right it probably will be on Revista and so hopefully it will be online for those who don't get that show. Thanks for the Scotsman article, I will definitely keep an eye out :)

I luv Sid Lowe he makes me laugh out loud literally :))
10:13 AM
I think these last weeks will be very emotional. There is one picture in the gallery post-match in which Becks already seems particularly moved as he's waving to the fans.

Yes Sid is funny but more importantly he is actually a fairly astute commentator when it comes to la liga and so the fact he thinks Real Madrid will win no matter how sarcastically phrased is actually pretty good news - and I am hoping he will be proved right as I really want Becks to leave on a high note!
Hi Diane :) Yes, it's going to be very emotional - another reason why I would like him to win the title so that he has something wonderful happening to help him through the difficult good-byes - and it will give us fans something to celebrate too and I know I will be needing it lol as I am already a little sad about things
12:12 PM
oh and btw Diane - he might have looked especially moved because he received an ovation from the crowd on Saturday night. He's hugely popular with the fans who attend the games and they give him a lot of support so that might have been part of the reason

Hi Anna, I'm getting teary eyed just during this conversation -- pitiful! I am such an auntie, it just can't be helped...so I am with you in hoping for an extra special going away party for both Becks and Roberto Carlos, and I will keep the hankies on hand on general principal (one CAN get teary when happy after all -- pitiful!). ;)

Wow love him in red :) Hot or wot!
