David Beckham on the pitch

Becks on the pitchDavid Beckham resumed training on the pitch again today, although he did not resume training with the team. It is a positive sign of progress that he spent some time working with the ball. It was also nice to hear that his team-mates were cheering him on. The training report in english and photos are on the official site. There are new photos of Becks at training in the gallery too.

AS.com have an article about the training session. They report that David Beckham is recovering but as he has not trained with the team as yet this week, it's uncertain if he will be named in the squad to travel to Racing Santander. There is also a video clip which features Becks posted on the front page of the official site, look for 'agenda de entrenamientos'.

There is also an article on the official site about David Beckham and other Real Madrid players meeting with a under-priveleged children from Brasil.

In LA Galaxy news, Tim Leiweke, LA Galaxy President, has confirmed that an offer is on the table for Zinedine Zidane to come out of retirement and join David Beckham at the club, details here.
