David Beckham on squad list

Becks is backGreat news! David Beckham was named in the Real Madrid squad to face Valencia tomorrow at the Santiago Bernabeu. Becks, who has been out injured for the last six weeks is expected to start the match on the bench and may play a role as a sub. Today's training report is online here and I've added three more photos from yesterday's training to the 'Real Madrid' gallery.

David Beckham attended the opening of a medical center to be run by Alfonso De Corral, a doctor at Real Madrid, in Madrid last night. There are three photos in the 'out and about' gallery.

It is good to be able to welcome Becks back to the squad! The match against Valencia will be a tough one let's all hope for a Real Madrid victory and a good return to action for Becks! You can read a match preview online here.

I actually sat at the computer and waited for the news!!! Very, very exciting. I am probably more nervous than the whole team combined :), but I will be calm and faithful tomorrow. (However, don't quote me on that during the match!)
See you then,
D

The match is at 10pm in Spain which is 9pm in the UK. I don't know how much of Becks we will see - when Reyes returned from the same injury he only had 10 minutes of game time the first week back.
Anyway see you all in a few hours as I'll be around once the game is on to post any new photos of Becks :)

it doesn't matter for how long he plays. what really matters is that he is going to be on the field and playing. Also matters that we will finally see him playing soccer again, and even if it is for 10 minutes that will be a great relief and an awesome game. He will change the mood of the fans if they are losing or even if they winning or tied; the game will get more exciting and the fans will be cheering for him and the team more.
