Galaxy enjoys Beckham factor
update - David Beckham trained with the team and completed a full session for the second consecutive day. The training report and 3 photos of Becks are on the official site.
LA Galaxy is already feeling the effects of the Beckham factor with the club seeing an additional 13.3 million in sales ahead of David Beckham's arrival Stateside, full story.
I've replaced a few of the tagged photos from David and Victoria Beckham's trip to Paris with non-tagged ones and added two more photos of Posh and Becks on their way to the airport here and added two photos of Becks from yesterday's training to the gallery
Pele has wished David Beckham well in the States but urged the MLS hierarchy to recruit more big names he told The Sun -
With Beckham, maybe he can help to create more opportunities and create competition to rival the other sports.The Sunday Times annual rich list of the 1000 wealthiest Brits is out this weekend and Becks is in at position 619, details here.
But they need more big names. Just David Beckham is not enough.
They need more to try to close that gap between training and tournaments.
I hope Beckham has luck there and can promote football in the States like we did before.

I hope zizou joins becks and then it will be another big name! I think Pele is rite becks can do a lot but he needs help as well and they cant expect him to work miracles just by himself

Hi there, he is going to have the number 23 according to the Adidas MLS site.
To the person who asked about press conferences. Becks is still doing interviews with the press but if you mean Real Madrid Press conferences the last one was Oct 30 and there may not be another now that he is scheduled to leave at the end of this season. I'm sure there will be some when he gets to the US though :)

If my memory is correct, Beckham had done only 1 official press conference for RM this season, right? I believe he is the one who had done the fewest RM press conference among all the players. Even before he announced his deal with LA, RM had already reluctent to let him facing the press......Well, somehow showed RM's attitude towards him......

Yes, there has only been one press conference. There has been very little marketing from RM that centered on Becks this season the club was careful to avoid this as soon as they realised there was a possibility he would not renew. I guess on the bright side it has at least meant they haven't "used" him this season and he may not have missed the press conferences much seeing as they are little more than propaganda where players are wheeled out to declare their undying love for the club and to make all the right positive noises :) I don't think there has been too many press conferences with Roberto Carlos either and Ronaldo might have been tied with Becks with only 1 press conference in the first half of the season before he left

ohh poor Becks he seemed to be hurting really badly in that video. Hope this painful situation ends soon; we need to see that great smile of his again.
