David Beckham's got moto
Motorola held a product launch for it's new mobile range yesterday in New York. Videos of a number of Motorola ambassadors, including David Beckham, were used to demonstrate some of the phones new features. Full story here. David Beckham has again been named as one of 10 players nominated for the annual Golden Foot award. The award is presented to footballers over the age of 29 who have excelled on the pitch and who have earned the esteem of fans and football experts alike. Personality is also taken into account. Thanks CC I missed those :) The getty photos used to come out through yahoo during the training sessions and also during the game but the last couple of weeks that's stopped happening so I will have to start checking Getty directly now :) Appreciate the heads up :)

this video is actually very negative. its always great 2 see our fav man but not so much when they are being criticized. the reporter was saying how posh was constantly fixing her hair and not paying attention and they didnt even hug when RM won.

hi ana, great banner i just notice it now :) yup, the video was a bit negative, but we can't blame posh and becks for being anxious, the match sure had its heart stopping moments; they also get criticized when they are being affectionate with each other.

Thanks ely - I don't speak spanish so to me the video is just cute lol cos he's pacing around and you can see how nervous he is and how much he cares etc and it's nice to see how happy he is when they win.
Oh and to the person who asked it's Zidane talking about Becks in the quote on the banner.

Marie - I think it's very cute that he was anxious, you should have seen me! LOL that match was a very religious experience I got through 3 rosaries, was summoning the spirits of my ancestors and hiding my head under the pillows on the sofa until the equaliser, it's a tough life being a fan lolol

I being Italian comprise the Spanish and Ely has comprised well, in fact the reporter with badness she evidences the attitude negative of posh towards David saying that posh the husband does not console. I want to believe that not he is therefore, I would be much sad one for him. The press he always puts in doubt their love and ago of all for feeding this opinion in truth we have only seen that one want makes to believe us, I pray for him and its family. Hello Loredana.

no problem Loredana I already fixed it :) I am thinking I will take the video down, I don't know what it says personally but it does sound like it's not very nice so perhaps it would be best.
Tanique, I was disappointed Motorola didn't use a lot more Becks and a lot less phone - there marketing department clearly has its priorities completely out of whack :)

I think reporters look for trouble, or make it up, because that sells newspapers. The two speak fondly of each other, and as Marie says, are very affectionate--as seen in "unposed" photos as well as the posed ones. So, I hope all's well as I do for all families.
I also try to keep a sense of humor because the Beckham's say that's what they do, which let me think it funny that the reporter made his statements based on 10 seconds of clips. There are enough photos around of Mrs Becks NOT primping at the match that its clear they had to make an effort to include only the moments in which she was. I looked at it this way ;-) -- if there were 89 minutes before Higuain's goal, for all we know she might have been clinging to her husband's arm and giving him a neck rub for the rest of the minutes not shown in that little video :-D ! They also leave her out during the celebration so how can the reporter say she wasn't jumping out of her shoes after the goal or that they weren't celebrating together the second after the one we were shown ;-) ?
Anna, you may be snipping all of this for the sake of staying positive...if not, at least we can just roll our eyes at all the media silliness. (It was nice being able to see Becks celebrate though...)!

You should organize, before each RM match, a "prayer meeting", invite ancestors to participate and not forget to provide oxigen masks, pillows and... sofas of course. So everyone can "live" the match with serenity ;-)

Anne we being still children go soon to bed and recite our prayers, and have included also the victory of the Real in the liga therefore we do not say that David is not successful to win nothing with the Real. We have seen the clip in which the goal are looked at of him, are much beautiful we did not know that David marked a lot. Goodnight, Samuele, Gabriel.

Thank you. But how COULD we have forgotten the ancestors!!! Great idea and as we will need more help with each coming week its good to have a group that large to fall back on. We should do all the things you list, keep up the candle lighting, and the serenity idea would certainly help me get through the weekend...I have to think about that one :-D !

I'm happy to hear about the boys' sweet efforts. I also wanted to tell you that I liked A Footballer's Story a lot -- if it is the documentary I am thinking of, done a couple of years ago by a very nice reporter from SkyTV(?) I think. So if they put it on again I think you would be fun for you to watch together.

The video of him and Victoria watching the match is being critical with Victoria, not exactly with David. But that's just the way most part of the press is.
As someone said above, the press don't really care and Becks and Victoria are very famous and sell, so people talk about them and always try to find something bad on them, unfortunately.
That's why a website like this has to be more and more valued. :-)
But if I was Victoria I'd hug him so hard after each goal. Hehe! :-D

And Laurance: It was Sevilla against Espanyol of Barcelona that were playing the UEFA Cup final, not Barça. :-)

Hi Loredana, I have put up Becks stats to answer your question about his goals, he has never had more than 3 or 4 goals in a season since he joined RM because it's not really his role in the team but he had 3 this season and with 4 games to go I am hoping for at least 1 more :)
