The first of the photos are in the gallery.

You can watch video highlights on the BBC site including Becks assist for England's goal. You can click here or if that doesn't work for you go the sports section and select the video titled 'Report:England held by Brazil' Also here is the goal on it's own in slo-mo

Steve McClaren hailed David Beckham as the best right-sided midfielder in the world and John Terry said "David was different class today, his delivery is superb. It was a great ball from Becks and it was about time I scored again" you can read their post match comments here and watch their interviews here.

David Beckham had the perfect return to the England team tonight. He strode out in the number seven shirt to a rapturous reception at the new Wembley for the friendly against Brazil. He narrowly missed scoring a goal from a free kick in the first half with the ball going agonisingly wide and was central to England's most dangerous attacks. In the second half he set up England's goal with a perfectly weighted cross to the far post from a set piece, that was headed home by John Terry. He was substituted shortly after and received thunderous applause and a standing ovation from the Wembley crowd, thrilled to have him back! Brazil equalised in extra time and the final score was England 1 - 1 Brazil. The official match report is now online at TheFA.com You can also read the Reuters report here, as well as UEFA

The BBC has a player rater on their site where you can rate the players so head over and give Becks a 10 he deserves it! Click here.

He played a great game The crowd said it best and there was one part where the crowd chanted Beckham and I thought how nice it must be for his boys to be hearing that :-)

Fitting Title Anna :) - looking forward to all pics and so on.

It was so good to see Becks back for England and with the number 7.

When his name was announced prior to kick off he got the longest and loudest applause.
IMO he had a good game, creating lots of chances, nearly scored and provided an assist and got lots of applause when he was subbed.

Awesome - Welcome Beck - We love you - 95 and counting ;-)

They all wore black armbands as a mark of respect for Alan Ball an England football legend who died a few weeks ago. They also had one minutes silence at the beginning

Becks - Man of the match. Sooooooooooo haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaappy!!! :-D

He didn't score, but great assist from the best crosser of the world, from the best passer of the world. :-))))))))))))
1-1 was a fair result, though. I'm not saying it because I'm Brazilian, that's really a fair result.
And Brazil only draw after Becks left the pitch, so...

Anyway, the serious match is against Estonia. Hopefully Becks will play great again and hopefully from now on McClaren will keep on calling him.

He's England best right midfieder and England needs him.

Great match Becks!!!

The crowd was amazing.

thanks for the vid, why does Venables look so miserable when they score? why does McClaren slap him as if to say "see!" and Venable roll his eyes? McClaren needs to get rid of Venables no memeber of the coaching staff or set up should ever look anything than pleased when the team scores, his ego and the fact he didn't want Becks back should be second too wanting his team to win. Bad look.

Yeah, I heard about it aswell.

But Becks played really well and proved (once more) he deserves a place at this England squad.

Venables can do nothing to change it. Becks football says everything. :-)

I noticed it too. When it comes to Venables, I think you only need look at Australia's record under Venables and under Hiddink to know that Venables aint nuffink special.

I know it's a little bit late to visit this post, but I had to say I noticed the little Mac/Ven exchange too. That little "I told you so" was the best thing we've gotten out of MacClaren since he left off training ManU (where he was a favorite amongst the team at the time) how many years ago? At BEST this job is way over his head, at worst...well, we need not get started again...
