Gerrard backs Becks

David Beckham might have felt a pang or two of nostalgia yesterday as he trained with the England team at Manchester United's training ground, Carrington. I'm sure it bought back a fond memory or three :) There are a few photos of David Beckham leaving The Lowry hotel in Manchester to head to training in the gallery.
After the training session Steven Gerrard spoke with the press and said
"I'd be a liar if I said I didn't have a little smile when I saw his name back in the squad."
"I welcomed him back because I felt he was still a top player. He's hit a great spell at Real Madrid, you watch him and think he's still good enough to play for England. I don't think it changes my game. He's got his strengths and I've got mine. I've enjoyed getting a run back in the middle and hopefully David will continue to play well on the right and I'll stay in the middle!''

His better position is in the middle, not right midfield.
But I still think Stevie G and Lamps together is not that good.
Hargreaves, Stevie G, Becks and Joe Cole is better. Or maybe Lampard can play as a left midfielder. Don't know.
As long as they win and Becks plays well, I'm happy. :-)

heavens above I understand caution but isn't Gerrard laying it on with a trowel a bit? I mean Estonia are 110th in world ranked between those football super-powers Hong Kong and Malta like. If they can't beat them then they may as well save plan fare and stay home for a game of tiddly-winks!! Becks will sort it.

I think Steven Gerrard's caution is understandable when you recall the game against Andorra. After all they only have one full time professional footie player in their team and it was 0-0 at half-time. I think hes wise its better to talk things down than up...if anything we should be doing more not less of that. Agreed that Becks will make the difference.

Anne we have of the problems with the computer,we do not know if it depens on we, the problems are:we do not succeed to see the photos no see news past days,we do not succeed to connect to us with your site in english language .This creats us many problems.We hope that the problems can be resolved.Ciao,Loredana,Samuele,Gabriele.

Hi Loredana :) The site seems to be up and down today. I have sent an e-mail to my web host to report the problem as I had touble for a few minutes earlier and do did Diane - there seem to be intermittent outages I don't know why but hopefully the hosting company will fix it and things will go back to normal soon :)

Thank god the site is back up..I was like trying to access the site every hour or so for the past 2 days(can't help it, missing my daily dose of beckham news =P)...Also, very, very excited today coz it's wed morning here in M'sia already, and tonite's going to be the BIG nite!
