Zaragoza 2 - 2 Real Madrid
Update - You can view some highlights including a brief glimpse of a happy Becks at El Pais. I hope to have longer highlights later today.

First of the photos are in the gallery
Real Madrid remain La Liga leaders and the top of the table remains unchanged in the penultimate week of the the title race with Real madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla all drawing their respective matches. With one match remaining, at home to Mallorca, the dream is alive and Real Madrid's title bid is still in their own hands! David Beckham might yet have the perfect farewell and leave Madrid by way of Cibeles! The official Real Madrid match report in english is online. Other match reports are available at Goal.com and ESPN. There is also a good write up at The Times Online
David Beckham had a good game, he played the full 90 minutes despite carrying an injury and he put two superb crosses into the box that were narrowly headed wide by Sergio and Diarra. He took another knock to his already sprained left ankle during the match. It was obvious he was in tremendous pain but he kept going which took a lot of courage and determination. He will now have an opportunity for a rest and his fitness will be monitored to see if he can play next Sunday. Fabio Capello told the post-match press conference that he thought David Beckham would be ready for the game against Mallorca. Real Madrid injury report online here. Let's hope he feels better soon.

Hi, yeah I saw a news report about what Calderon said on The BBC - everyone is running it, so we will probably hear a statement from Becks before long. I don't think Real Madrid can easily reverse what is in motion. They should never have let this situation happen, they should have honored the two year deal Becks was promised by Perez. Also, you have to remember the Calderon running his mouth in the media now - is the same Calderon who said he was sure Becks would stay - when the club gave Becks the opposite message and he is the same Calderon that accused Becks of going to LA to be some kind of actor, he said he had misled the club and already bought a house etc - all lies. So there is no reason to believe he is being honest or genuine in his dealings now, it may just be another fan manipulation. I guess we will hear more and it will make itself clear before long.
