David Beckham at the Concert for Diana
Update - Just a quickie! I've added a couple more photos from the concert to the gallery.
A big thanks to Becks fan Joyce who has shared a clip of David Beckham in the stands with his boys and also on stage paying tribute to Princess Diana and introducing Take That with us.
Becks told The BBC "I think Princess Diana made such a huge impact on everybody's life, not just in our country ... but everyone around the world, so I can understand and believe the hype that's been involved in this."

David Beckham attended the Concert for Diana tonight and introduced Take That who had been one of the Princesses favourite bands. He came out to huge applause, and received the biggest cheer of the night which was nice. The first of the photos are in the gallery.

Aw, Becks was too cute. He did really well at his speech and got a huge amount of applause! The only thing is that the American station didnt play his interview, which I'm mad about. But before he came on they did talk about what an icon he was, etc. It was very nice.

Gosh, those of you who watched the concert on TV (or even better LIVE!) mst have enjoyed every moment of it, especially when Becks came out and all the other times the camera was on him! I've yet to see the concert coz here in Malaysia it's showing at 10am and I have to be at work! Luckily there's gonna be a repeat this evening, so hopefully I'll be able to catch it and gush abt it like you all did LOL..
Anyway as a consolation to anyone who've not seen it yet, here's a blurry clip of Becks introducing Take That..and Becks looked so cute when he looked nervous and stopped for a bit jst listening to the thunderous applause..NICE!

Thanks Joyce! I hadn't seen the few seconds from during the Supertramp song! I really appreciate it. They didn't show the concert at all on TV in NZ I had to watch it online through vh1 who streamed it live which I appreciated - lots better than nothing :) But as a result I don't have a decent recording so this is great for me thank you! :)

The CCTV Beckham Programme is in Mandarin. Only programmes from Hong Kong are in Cantonese.
Frankly speaking, CCTV is well-known for its anti-Beckham attitude. From a personal point of view, while this programme contains some memeorable scenes, the commentary is not too positive. I think the programme is more enjoyable if you view it without listening to the commentary :P

Thanks Corina I'll add that info to the above post so any LA fans know. It's a shame its not open to the public but I'm sure training and other things soon after July 13 will be and the 13th will be quite a media scrum so you might have more chance of getting to say hi or to wave to him or something on another day :)

Hi Anna the concert was just wonderful, very moving, I cried during Missing You and again at the end. Becks was great! He did get the biggest cheer and I got one fuzzy photo so can you give me an e-mail and I'll send it to you. It's not very good but its nice for me to have a photo of Becks that I took myself :-)

My daughters and I all cried during Missing You also :-( .
The whole thing was great and we loved Becks' little joke, introducing Take That, when he paused after saying that they had millions of girls...and then said...in tears. Very cute.
Anna, have you ever heard whether they knew each other from Manchester?
Thank you for all the clips photos and videos, I'm just catching up--very good news about the ankle, and you know I'm a softie for the Anniversary snapshot! I always hope they are happy.
