David Beckham presentation
David Beckham was officially unveiled as a LA Galaxy player at a presentation this morning at the club. Thousands of LA Galaxy season-ticket-holders attended and made sure Becks received a warm and raucous reception! They greeted him with a rendition of "One David Beckham, theres only one David Beckham". More details of the pesentation online here and over 100 photos are in the La Galaxy gallery. You can also read a transcript of the AP Qestion and Answer session with Becks online here. The sheer volume of press meant that there were a series of Q+A's here is another from the LA Times.

David Beckham has launched an official website today and it looks great! It has lots of news as well as exclusive video. It will be great for all fans to be able to get David Beckham's latest news straight from the source!I will still continue to update this site but feel it is a good time to wind this site back a little as the official site will have the latest news for fans! It also has a blog and the first post from Becks is up! Go check it out here!

the presentation was kinda different from the usual ones i've seen in europe, but nevertheless it was cool. the fans just love him, and no matter how much i dislike the mls i'll still support david.

Much heat for our hero. It has received the acceptance that deserves. It it ability makes itself to love. Please dont stop this website, its the best! I'm on it at last 5 hours a day, the pictures are great, the info is up to date, and I love reading the comments.

I'm glad to be able to get to the site I was trying earlier and it kept saying forbidden! I guess its all this gloabl attention that Becks is getting causing lots of people to jump on the internet to look for info on him!

I just want to say that this website not only is the best website for Beck's fans, in fact is one of the best sites in any theme or topic o style i ever seen in my life.
Please don't give up, altought there is an official site now, it will never be a piece of this.

I'm really glad it went well today but listening to Lalas talk I still have misgivings I don't think it's a "marriage of equals" also when leiweke thanked Simon Fuller I couldn't help but cringe I hate a man who doesn't know anything about football but knows everything about making a buck out of crass entertainment being so involved in this... it worries me.

Thnx for everything Anna!!! Good luck to David on everything. I really hope he can change soccer here in the US. Im definitely gonna watch every match he's in and going to the LA Galaxy vs. Houston Dynamo in Houston! Have fun in LA Becks. Oops! Ruby you are right I mis-read something there are 10,000 season ticket holders but they weren't all there lol although it seems around half turned out :) Anyway I've gone for the vague by just saying thousands lol

Thanks cc I have made a decision not to put paparazzi pics of the children on the site - I had added a couple in the last week and I've actually removed them. It's always a tricky call but I've decided that photos of the children taken by legitimate photo agencies where Becks knows the photographers will be there are ok but photos taken by paparazzi in situations that aren't being covered by the media and where the photos are obtained by basically staking out the family and their every move won't be used - as we can't change the world but as fans I think we have to respect the fact that Becks would prefer that his children's privacy not be invaded in their day to day life. That said thanks for heads up all the same :)
