MLS Photoshoot caps
I have made some screen caps from the MLS photoshoot video that was posted on the site a couple of days ago. Unfortunately they are a little fuzzy and hopefully better quality images of David Beckham in the LA Galaxy away kit will be available soon.
David Beckham has finally been added to the LA Galaxy team roster on the official site here. Thanks to Ben for the heads up!

The Sun have compared David Beckham's new team to a pub side and their comments, with varying degrees of venom, are echoed throughout the British press today, Reuters have a summary of the coverage. David Beckham is certainly going to have his work cut out for him in helping resurrect the LA Galaxy's flagging fortunes but Becks will certainly give it everything he's got!
David Beckham's injury status continues to be monitored day-to-day ahead of his planned debut this Saturday and his scheduled attendance at the MLS All-star game in Colorado today, remains unconfirmed - latest here.
A-list welcome
The Beckhams will be the guests of honor at a welcome party to be hosted by Tom Cruise and Will Smith, Sunday night. All the absolutely fabulous A-list details, here! As previously mentioned, Becks will also be holding a barbeque for his new team-mates this Sunday afternoon.Update - Co-webmaster!

Thanks Anna! LA Galaxy are getting quite a savaging in the press here. Which is a shame but at least all they can do is improve I guess :-)

I'm pleased Becks wasn't playing hate to think what they'd have said if he was and at least now they've seen what the team is like without him... they might not put the boot in so much when he does play... one lad can't turn it all around.

on a less fun note the Galaxy need to get their sh*t together. I think they need a much stronger Manager those boys need some hair-dryer NOW!!!

We knew that for he it would have met difficulty. This is a great challenge is David has always known it. When he has accepted it was aware that he would have had the strict critic of the press. David is strong and will know to face all but the society of the Galaxy must buy players with more technique. Yesterday Gabriel has seen the
repeat of the game and is a lot of the disappointed Galaxy has said that David deserves an other team. I have confidence and the time will say if it has made the choice exact. Loredana Samuele Gabriel

oooh! Oprah is on the guest list. I so so so want Becks to be on Oprah. All the soccer Moms love Oprah! It would be perfect and I really think its the one show he should do ... well that and also I think he should go on Martha and cook something that woiuld be so cute and again make all the soccer moms love him! I mean they do already but I just think it would be good PR and I'd love it =)

thank you, for the welcome Anna. this is by far my favorite becks site, and i'm looking forward to helping out.
during halftime of the all star game, he said it doesn't look good for saturday. he is here for 5 years, not just the one game, and he's upset about not being able to play, but has to look at the big picture.
he also said, he considers the move a success already, because awareness of the league has been heightened. he'll also consider it a success, if he can help kids play past their youth.
finally, he said he might play at the end of the saturday game, if it's ok. but his foot is still swolen.

Thanks for that update Tanique as I didn't get to see his half-time interview so it's good to know what he said! Sorry about his ankle still being swollen but I'm glad that they are taking a long view! I think he is quite right he has given them unbelievable publicity so hes more than delivered in that area and will go on raising the profile. You know its actually kind of ironic ESPN have been so uninformed, half-hearted and sometimes downright negative in their coverage and now they have a trillion cameras including Beckham-cam all lined up for a game he won't start - whilst I'd never want him injured and I'd rather he could start, it's a small consolation to know this is gonna really put ESPN out :
