Don’t believe the spin
There is a set of quotes that Becks reportedly gave to Diario de Noticias doing the rounds. Please don’t be taken in by the spin being placed on these quotes. Three of the four quotes are identical to comments made by David Beckham at his last Real Madrid press conference. The fourth matches comments he made in his post match interviews at the Bernabeu after the Mallorca game when he said he would miss Real Madrid, the fans and the Bernabeu. He also said that he would follow Real Madrid the following season.
These quotes are NOT new. I mention this only because the quotes have been picked up by reputable news sources today such as Skysport and are being spun as “David Beckham revealed he regretted choosing to move to Major League Soccer”. However in the quotes cited there is actually no mention of MLS and David Beckham does not say he regrets his decision to go to the US.
