Becks goes to the baseball
update - New photos of David Beckham signing autographs after a 45 minute training session at RFK today are in the gallery.
Last month many of you voted for David Beckham in the 'ESPN: Who's Now' Poll but Becks lost narrowly to LT. The final winner was Tiger Woods but he said of the poll, "I don't see how Beckham didn't beat me... As far as global figures go, he's probably far more global than I am. You know, golf is not played all around the world. I think the whole ‘Who’s Now’ [poll] was just about in America. If it had gone globally, it would probably have been different." David Beckham and several of his Galaxy teammates were guests of the Blue Jays for yesterday’s game against the New York Yankees and got a tour of both clubhouses before the game.
New York Yankees captain, Derek Jeter said, "He’s a nice guy... You hear so much about him coming over here to this country. He’s down to earth and it was a pleasure meeting him." Yankees Manager, Joe Torres also enjoyed meeting Becks saying "He's a very engaging person, a very nice guy." You can read more details of his pre-game visit online here.
Aside from taking in a ballgame Becks also had a spot of retail therapy while in Toronto you can read an account in The Toronto Star of his shopping trip. The shop assistants were impressed by how polite, humble and pleasant he was. Nice!

Hope he enjoyed the baseball. It was nice to hear what the Yankees said. Everywhere he goes people are always impressed by what a humble down to earth man he is :-)

Hello! Anne we hope of to have understood your words well. The Galaxy has not taken the own responsibilities and has left David the task to justify its absence from the field (absurd). However it has been clear in the press conference, less than the fans and the press American does not suffer from deafness. Here from we they repeat in continuation that him has had a serious accident. True being that David will recite with Robby Williams? We hope not. To we it does not appeal to if the press American diffuses these news, still more the fans will be still more angers to you with him. Yup, Loredana, in this case the player is bigger than the club, and so the LA galaxy is still having a hard time dealing with all these things, but stating an injury should have been simple enough for them to handle---what about when Mclaren gets there and asks all these questions and the media asking about Beckham's fitness in playing for England, the Galaxy should be ready for all that.

Hello to all! Thanks Anne for to have answered to we. For the moment to Los Angels they have need of a true player as David (have already many actors). We to laugh in seeing the ace of Yellop (poor) during the press conference it is in embarrassment while David is calm. To they enough to say: it will only play when the doctor says OKAY. Simple. oh my god he looks absolutely gorgeous in those photos at the game yesterday. *sighs happily* good grief, God should have made more copies of Beckham for us frustrated girls LOL.

Hopefully they will learn how to handle with certain situations involving Becks.

Even if the 'Desperate Housewives' story is true. I mean, even if Becks was really invited to appear on it...I don't think he would accept doing it. He said many times during many interviews that he does not want to become an actor and that he's going to US to play football, not to act.
Anyway, hope this is just one more gossip.
I really don't want him to become an actor. It would be terrible. :-/
He's a footballer and that's how I like him.
Oh...Tiger Woods comments are really nice.
The baseball players and the coach comments are also nice. From the pictures we can see he really had a nice time meeting all the players.
