David Beckham: Start my story
Adidas have extended their Impossible is Nothing campaign with a website where David Beckham and Laila Ali lead you through an interactive program where you can create your own story about how you have overcome a challenge in your life. It's a great site for everyone but especially for kids. There are contests on the site that you can enter to win prizes including a chance to spend a day with David Beckham. The contests are open to US residents only and run until the end of November.
As today is catch up on all things Adidas day, I also thought I would post a picture of the new Adidas LA Galaxy away boots that David Beckham will be wearing (we had pictures of Becks home boots earlier in the month) Thanks to Ben for sending this through! Just click the picture above to enlarge.
Super Liga Pre-preview
The LA Galaxy did not train Monday and offered no updates on David Beckham's left ankle injury. His status and whether he will play is likely to be a game day decision. You can view a preview of the sold-out match online here.Finally, Alexi Lalas has been railing against the LA Galaxy's schedule and whilst it definitely places the team at a disadvantage, it does seem rather late to protest. These comments needed to be made in January when MLS was salivating over the money they stood to make by back-loading the schedule and sending David Beckham and the team on a whistle-stop tour of America. Those boots remind me of the ones he started wearing at the 2006 world cup. I like the ones he wear now but the nicest thing about his boots is how he has his boys names. So sweet! :-)

I totally love start my story what a cool cool site. It's so cute when David says click on the little guy. I created one and its really clever how they take your scratchings and make it into an ad! I'm impressed :0)

The campaign is great, and looks like Becks can even make fun for kids through photos!!! Nice bit of relief from the worrying.
And Lalas...we read all of his quotes defending this schedule, when they were arranging it eight months ago, and then with each thing they added, including the Superliga. Now he's outraged? He talks about having "been there" as a player all the time, so he can't claim ignorance of the toll this would take -- then again, he'll say absolutely anything won't he?
Must avoid reading anything away from here again for awhile and just think positive ankle thoughts ;-) !!!!

becks looks hot in the new campaign. but, more importantly it's a really good idea, and i'm sure kids will love it.
what can i say about lalas? i laughed as i read his quotes. he's so incredibly transparent. where is his muzzle. we need a muzzle fund. in the article i read, the writer did call him on his hypocracy though.
i'm not surprised there is no word on david. i hope the ankle is alright. if he needs another game off, i hope he gets it.

Hi Ruby, yes I just saw that I'm shocked. So sad he was such a young fit guy must all be such a terrible ahock for his family and friends. My heart goes out to them :(

to all! To always make it appeal to to see the images of David. Hoping that its ankle can tomorrow allow he to help the companions. We to have problems with the computer (fingers crossed), therefore do not succeed to activate the Google Translator, we have not understood completely your comments but we think that they are not favorable towards Lalas (we to have understood well??). Our thought is that it had to work better and to make to find to David a more competitive team. We to think that the Galaxy will take decisions important. We must attend. Ps Unfortunately just now a network has announced the dead of Puerta . We are truly sad and our thought is towards the family. God can give they much consolation. Loredana, Samuele, Gabriel.

Just wondering....is it possible for the LA Galaxy to "loan" BECKs out to a "Premiereship team" for the season....my head says..theirs no chance they can make the playoffs but,....my HEART says BECKs can do ANYTHING he sets his mind to.......I mean just thinking about that CHIVAS USA game makes me physically ill!!!...and then for Lalas and company to admit he was DIZZY...you couldn't pay me to admit that!!!!!!.....Honestly....it would be great for him to come back to ENGLAND (while they sort out the MLS schedule nightmare)....I really find it hard to believe BECKs signed a contract that didn't have an OUT CLAUSE....well theirs always watching him play w/the National team...
A word about those "boots" ...eek...I like the old ones from WORLD CUP 06 better.. nicer shade of blue....

Puerta, My thoughts go out to his family---it is such a sad day.
Hope the team would pull through and dedicate this season to Puerta. Such a young man, only 22 and a soon to be father.

Hi Marie, yes I heard that about his wife expecting their first child... really made me sad such a tragedy. Puts lots of other problems in perspective thats for sure.
