The Beckhams in Beau Monde

Update - Thanks to Tanique33 there are photos of David Beckham out shopping to the gallery. As well as a photo of Becks leaving Hyde nightclub. He was reportedly there from 11pm to 1am Monday night with several of his LA Galaxy team-mates including Cobi Jones.
Some of the steamy photos from the Intimately Beckham photo shoot are featured in Beau Monde magazine, scans are in the gallery. There are also photos of David and Victoria Beckham heading out for dinner. Thanks to Tanique33. More details in The Sun.
Pre-game interview
Here is the pre-game interview David Beckham gave on FSN yesterday for anyone who missed it. I've re-uploaded it and it plays properly now!Alexi Lalas has been talking to the media again. Unfortunately no one knows how to make him stop. On the plus side, he seems to be saying that the LA Galaxy are now going to proceed with the kind of professional approach to David Beckham's fitness that they should have adopted from day one, chalk that up in the better late than never column. Here's the article.

7:31 PM
nice thanks =)

I noticed in one of the candids of Posh n Becks that he still isn't able to lace up a normal shoe on his left foot... I would say the knee injury was never as bad as the ankle. The ankle has been the problem all along. When he can come back will depend on the ankle not the knee... my sixpence
9:11 PM
That most recent photo of Victoria and Becks looks blotchy. Looks like someone was painting over the images.
BUT nonetheless, they still look hot! Thanks for the pictures!!!

Hi Phuong :) Yeah I know what you mean I don't know why that is - the scans were on celeb-city so I don't know what the original magazine looked like :)
Hey Syd :) It could be that he is still wearing a brace or strapping of some sort but I really don't have a clue which injury was/is worse or anything. I just hope he'll be 100% better soon :)
10:44 PM
Agree Pru these don't look so posed but they're quite old aren't they...I mean those hairstyles are from last year I think?
12:26 AM
Thanks for the update!

I missed the original airing.

better interview than the espn one
great to hear hes healing faster than he xpected
4:10 AM
I missed it too as I don't have FSN so thanks for making it available!

Syd, I noticed an unlaced left shoe too this last week, don't remember where, and had a similar concern. Ankle sprains are tough under any circumstance -- and that "planting" foot is everything for Becks. Hope they don't take the least chance with it.
Great interview on FSN. First US commentator I've seen him really comfortable with and seemingly for good reason. Intelligent questions, none held back, but the right perspective and a sense of humor. Hope he can stay on the soccer beat...seems to cover some of the other big sports and NFL is gearing up to eclipse the world here again.
6:32 AM
Thanks so much for the interview and pics!

Lalas is such a fool it's embarrassing really. He would have been better to say nothing. Don't talk about it just do it!
7:15 PM
did anyone else notice what appears to be a new tattoo on victoria's left wrist (her purse hand lol) right above the one with the roman numerals
7:50 PM
lol yes it's definitely 'nike' time. The article really made me angry it's just more spin from the club to absolve themselves of any responsibility but Becks said he expected to play mo more than 30 minutes against Chivas and Yallop approached him and asked him if he could start. Yallop knew what his schedule had been, that he'd just come from the airport why did he ask him about starting? Anyway the world has moved on why don't they just as you say - start doing the right thing and not talk about it anymore. Just draw a line under it and go forward positively.
The suggestion a doctor and no other staff were involved that it was all 100% Becks call completely contradicts what Becks has said and I have a real problem with that because I think Becks is being sincere. He's been asked point blank who decides and replied more than once it's up to the coach and other back-room staff. He was receiving treatment from Ivan almost daily on the ankle, it's time for them to stop hiding behind him and pretending they were what? oblivious? hardly.
Anyway I'm just sick of the topic and I wish Lalas just didn't go there. It hasn't even been a month since they told the media it would be six weeks so it's the easiest thing in the world for him to say nothing and refuse to be drawn on this at least until the six weeks is up. Sigh.
7:50 PM
Hi sorry I missed your comment. Yes I did notice her new tattoo according to The Sun its just a transfer that she is trying out to see if she likes it she hasn't actually had it inked yet :)
7:56 PM
no doubt some idiots will criticize him for being at Hyde coz he injured but hell he not out all the time or nothing
9:12 PM
don't even get me started with lalas, doesn't he realize that he is just underlying his incompetence. Anyway great interview :), I agree he is very comfortable with this interview :)

I hate the headline of the Alexi Lalas article Grrrr! I have just got to say, if David plays when he shouldn't...it's all his fault...if he doesn't play hes soft and it's all his fault and hes too easily injured blah blah blah...so when you look up the expression CAN'T WIN in the dictionary there should be a picture of David.
I too wish that Lalas would just shut up already godammit
9:29 PM
Lalas needs to remember actions speak louder than words :-) As galaxy23 said they need to be seen to be walking the talk not just talking!

Ciao a tutti! In this moment I have my PC broken.
I hope my husband will repair it soon.
Naturally we always cross the finger for Becks.

I am SO tired of Lalas, I sent this email to Martin Rogers, whose column his remarks appeared in (and I'm trying to decide if there would be any purpose in sending a stronger version to lala himself):
Even after many years of observing big business sports, and considering myself quite jaded, Alexi Lalas' comments regarding David Beckham's "self-evaluations" manage to annoy me. The Galaxy not only have a medical staff, but an insurance company; as do Adidas, MLS, and probably ESPN for that matter. Beckham's self-evaluations would never have been taken at face value. Players are asked how they feel, not to read their own MRI's, and players that valuable to team and sponsors aren't even allowed to decide what recreational activities they can take part in--let alone which risks they can take that might jeopardize their careers (and investors' returns).
I'm surprised that Mr Lalas has the nerve, especially as an ex-player, to try to lay off responsibility for when and how long Mr Beckham appeared on the pitch at his feet. Whether he begged to be put in or stay in (and competitive players ALWAYS beg to do both) is completely irrelevant. Making the final decision is not the player's job and if the Galaxy dodged it, they are even more responsible for the results. Clearly they made some serious mistakes, the other stake-holders involved allowed (or pressured) them to do so, it happens, they should FINALLY just say so and move on in a less ill-advised manner. Something they seemed to be doing, until Mr Lalas wastes everyone’s time by once more trying to reverse previous remarks, and disparaging his player along the way...two things that should not surprise me.

Hi Anna, just a question I see that the PFA are still saying it's possible that David Beckham might play for Englands legends in Manchester on Dec 2 what's the time difference between the here and NZ is there anyway that David could do both do you think?
5:32 AM
Hi Julie, the NZ match has been moved back to Dec 1 It takes a little over 24 hours to fly to the UK and we are roughly 12 hours ahead of you so theoretically he could make it to Manchester a few hours before the game - but the flight from NZ, as I've done it a few times and you are 24 hours in the air plus transitting for re-fuelling, is a killer. Very tiring. Still I see players like Roy Keane are going to play and Roy is a Manager now and so it won't be much more than a kick around so maybe he'll try to do it - I don't know he'll be knackered afterwards if he does but I think the NZ game is his last LAG committment this year? So if it is he would have headed 'home' at that point and after the Legends game he can go down to Hertfordshire and sleep for 48 hours lol
Great e-mail Diane *claps* I know Martin Rogers sometimes does a mailbag and replies to e-mails hes had I would like to see him answer that as his article trots out the same old chestnuts without dealing with any of the realities you mention! Good on you for calling him out! :)
5:12 PM
You make a lot of good points Diane! I bet Martin Rogers would be stuck for an answer! Good on you for defending David :-)
6:25 PM
Thank you, Anna, I'm blushing!
7:14 PM
Thanks Anna :-)
