Hi,How is everyone? Good, I hope…
I popped down to my LA Academy on Saturday to watch the children being put through their paces by the coaches. This Saturday’s group were particularly special as they were from LA’s Best, which is an after school enrichment programme that works towards better education for children with the greatest needs and fewest resources throughout the city of Los Angeles, so we were really pleased to have them at the Academy for the day.
I took part in a question and answer session and had some photos taken with the kids at the end of the day, which was really good fun. It’s always great to see children enjoying soccer whatever their ability.
I was happy to see the England team win both their recent Euro qualifiers 3-0. They were really important matches, but the team came through them strongly.
I must also say well done to the England women’s team who qualified for the quarterfinals of the World Cup. The squad, features Casey Stoney, who is one of my Academy coaches in London. At both the Academies, we have always encouraged girls as well as boys, to take part. We have had thousands of girls come through the doors and I am always impressed by, not only their ability, but their enthusiasm for the game. I am pleased women’s football is finally getting the recognition it deserves. So the best of luck to them in the quarterfinals.
David

May I ask a question about football stream? I used to watch LAG's game from SopCast. However, it seems that the channel for MLS games has been terminated and I can't find any other online source to watch the game. Since MLS games are not broadcasted in the area I live, I can only watch them on the internet. Grateful to know if there's any other online source (free) to watch MLS/LAG? Many thanks.
Btw, it appears that Beckham wants to shift the attention on his injury/recovery to more positive issues, which really come in line with his always positive attitude. Hopefully, he is recovering well. Really miss him on the pitch.

Hi - unfortunately I don't know of any other free online sources where you can watch the games. There is a free radio broadcast but that is about it sorry. You can pay for MLSlive but depending where you are located you need to check the black out restrictions to make sure you will actually be able to watch.
I agree he is focussing on the positive and also perhaps there isn't a lot more that can be said about his injury at this stage - it may be a case of him continuing to do what he said he was doing last week and that it's impossible to give any accurate info about the recovery period yet anyway. Fingers crossed he's recovering well :)

The Gals managed to grab a draw from the jaws of victory. I really feel for Beckham he has to be wondering what has he done. I bet you 250 million that when he was given the sales pitch to join MLS and the G's they painted a really different picture to what he is stuck with. The G's are indisputably the worst team in MLS...it really hurts me to admit it but the facts are the facts.

Jose Mourinho just got sacked by Chelsea. There will definitely be some speculation coming about Mourinho joining the ranks of the Galaxy lol.

Thanks for the information about the football streams. Unfortunately, I think the MLSLive doesn't work for me. I will keep on searching and hopefully I can find one by the time when Beckham returns to the pitch.....which I believe is going to happen soon :>

Mourinho or Yallop thats like a choice between the devil and the deep blue sea
I'm sure the happiness of his family is very important to the lad as it should be but that doesn't mean that the lad didn't think the standard of the team would be a bit better.

well it would be never a dull moment with Mourinho that's for sure LLLLOOOOOOLLLLLL :-)

Yes, I have the same opinion he wants the best for his family. But why is LA the city where they are the happiest? Could Vic and the kids not be happy in London or Madarid or somewhere else??? I think that his new Team plays so bad, hurts him a lot and the season will be over soon for the Galaxy!

I wasn't saying about his personal life and you know I hope they're happy and hes happy. I was just saying that I think he would have been told the standard was better and that trades and signings would be made to strengthen the team more and that he would be coming to one of the best MLS teams...... not the worst.

Forgot to say yesterday that I thought it was great that David mentioned the women's team! Nice!
