David Beckham's CNN Interview
Here's David Beckham's CNN interview in full. It was released in three parts over a 10 day period. Becks was interviewed by Mark McKay during the youth soccer clinic in Harlem. The separate parts have already been posted on this site but Becks said it was one of his best days in the US so here's a re-run of the whole segment. The footage of him playing soccer with the kids is very cute!
MSNBC have an interesting piece on LA Galaxy fan reaction to David Beckham's injury that shows the majority of fans are understanding and supportive of Becks, online here.
The results for the 2007 Golden Foot have been announced, Alexandro Del Piero won with Roberto Carlos in second place and David Beckham in third. The ten nominees for the award are all great footballers and although I think Becks deserved to win, finishing in third is still a good achievement, more details here.

Anne we have felt that Del Piero, Maldini and Roberto Carlos they were they in pol position the victory but not there is still no confirmation. Loredana, Samuele, Gabriele.

Thanks Loredana I heard that too. I think the announcement will be today but I don't think it has happened yet. If Becks doesn't win then I hope Roberto Carlos does because Becks would like that but of course lol I'd like Becks to win!

Anne we are in agreement with you also on Carlos, but if it wins Del Piero he is a professional like David. Some months ago of the Piero it has written a book and it has put David to the first place in classifies as the player with which he he would gladly have played in its career, prefers David to Maradona (this has created scandal between the Italian journalists, Del Piero considers David a great player, we are in agreement with he).

I guess the result of the golden foot will be given in the evening (in a couple of hours here) as it takes place in Monaco.

Good on Del Piero a man of taste obviously :-) The Golden Foot is supposed to be announced tonight I really want David to win as I don't think he always gets the recognition he deserves for his football because of his looks and celebrity

Oh, I really admire Del Piero, so I'm very happy for him.
That's nice that he also likes David.
I remember Becks giving an interview to UEFA Champions League Weekly in 2000 or 2001, I'm not sure, and he mentioned Del Piero as one of his favorite players. :-)
Too bad Becks did not won, though.

He's not enough respected as a footballer because of his beauty and life off the pitch.

I like Del Piero too and of course Roberto Carlos has a special place in my heart as a player and also a good friend to Becks. Glad Becks got into the top 3 anyway :-)
