David Beckham: Lions for Lambs
David Beckham attended the AFI Fest Gala premiere of Tom Cruise's new movie 'Lions for Lambs' tonight. Becks met acting heavyweights Meryl Streep and Robert Redford. He also spent a lot of time signing autographs and posing with fans before heading inside with friends Tom Crusie and Katie Holmes. Hope he enjoyed the film! First of the photos in the gallery. (Source) Tim Leiweke, president and chief executive of Anschutz Entertainment Group, which owns the LA Galaxy, spoke at the FT Sports Summit in London and said, "Some people in the US have said it has been a disaster but we don't see it that way. He's [Beckham] earned us more than we've paid him since he arrived. He's a commercial juggernaut. He's been great off the pitch as well as on the pitch. It's a book not a chapter." He also said, "Some people look at it and make a judgement on David today, but the fact is that David has been in United States for less than 120 days. He concluded by saying, "The best is yet to come from David, we know that." More online here.

I guess Leiweke wouldn't have done with a simple, sorry we almost killed him and we'll try to avoid doing so in the future, would he? Oh well.
So cute that Meryl Streep actually looks star struck :) ! After Helen Mirren, that's two actresses who have seen them all and are still charmed by Becks.

Diane, I know lol, I thought the same when I read his comments. Also I cringe when I read things like 'hes a commercial juggernaut' - he's a football player it's just they can't see that for the dollar signs blocking their vision.

Ciao everybody! Thank for photographs and clip.The his very personal style is why he is an icon of style throughout the world. We are angry that we speak to him only in commercial terms he is a player (when my kids watch the macht Real and Manchester have nostalgia for him).
