Becks on the box
Update - Posh and Becks took their sons to the winter wonderland ice-rink at Hyde Park in London last night, cute photos in the gallery.

A reminder that David Beckham will appear on two shows on different sides of the Atlantic this Sunday. He will be interviewed on Parkinson, which will screen on ITV1 at 9PM BST and will also appear on Snoop Dogg's Fatherhood on E! at 10.30PM ET. So make sure you have your recorder/tivo set.
The Daily Mail adds its voice to reports that Capello may name Becks as captain when he wins his 100th cap against Switzerland. They also quote italian newspaper, Corriere dello Sport, as saying, "Capello is already thinking about Beckham. David will be an important player for the new England." That sounds good! More details here and also coverage in The Telegraph, who also report that Capello is well disposed towards Becks. Which of course is consistent with comments both men made in the fortnight preceding Real Madrid winning the title.
Capello is expected to be unveiled as England Manager on Monday at a press conference, as the FA have confirmed his appointment today, according to The BBC
I've added another Adidas Happy Holidays Ad featuring Becks to the e-cards gallery. This card uses a photo from July which was released to mark David Beckham joining up with the LA Galaxy. It seems Adidas are revisiting all of Becks hair-styles from 2007.

I'm really excited for the Parkinson show because I really love Billy Connolly and Dame Judi Dench and David of course most of all :-) No danger of my forgetting to watch that. Will the Snoop Dogg thing be online or do I have to wait till January? :-S

I'm so looking forward to seeing David on Parky but I so wish it wasn't his last interviews. sob.
Aren't the media a fickle lot. I'm really pleased to see them talking about David being important without them putting him down for a change.

I'm a fan of the lad but the person who could make me watch "Snoop Doggys Fatherhood" has not been born.
I just followed your link Anna to The BBC site and on the right of the page it has the link "Capello in Pictures" who on Gods green earth wants to see Capello in pictures... the man has a face for radio if ever there were one.

Thanks for the very cute Mr and Mrs backstage. Reminds me of some of the photos from the tour Becks joined her on from the '98 World Cup -- right after finding out they were expecting! They seem to be having a lot of fun this time out too, and good for them, easy to forget how young they still are, and they have had quite a year. Best wishes as always to the whole family.

It's official... Capello is the new coach. I can't wait to hear what his comments about Becks are gonna be at the press conference on Monday.

Ciao. Anne unfortunately today we have purchased the Official Courier and not, but we are happy to read your news. The media say that Italian Capello will give Becks only the possibility of his 100 presence with England, and this is a mean the calm press(we hope to be false news ). Samuel think that Capello needs Becks also because he is the player who has worked with Capello while other players have never had the chance to know his methods training. Not remains to wait and see. Loredana, Samuel, Gabriel.

Any chance that the Parkinson show will be online? I don't know when or if it will be shown here and I'd really like to see David's interview. You and Julie have said such good things about Parkinson interviews :-)

Hi Pru :) I don't know of anywhere that you can watch the show online when it goes to air but I hope to post it if everything goes to plan :)
Thanks Ruby :)
I'm looking forward to the press conference too although he may not say too much outside of what would be expected.
Loredana - I hope Samuel is right, seems sensible to me too :)
