David Beckham's gift

A bruised rib and bout of bronchitis didn't stop David Beckham from taking the time to meet one of his biggest fans, Ryan Hamilton, during his recent trip to New Zealand. Brave Ryan has been battling Cystic Fibrosis and the chance to meet his hero meant the world to him. You can click on the thumbnails above to read the story.
Adidas have released a "Happy Holidays" Ad featuring David Beckham. The Ad uses a picture of Becks that first appeared in February as part of Adidas' Predator v F50 campaign. I've added it to the ecards gallery so you can send it as a card.
Also, just in case you haven't seen this, Adidas have this cool "immersive" video on their site of David Beckham walking down the tunnel at his first game for the LA Galaxy. You can see things from his perspective or watch him walking, by right-clicking on the video and dragging. I hadn't seen this before and it's fun to move the video around.

Lovely story! So cute the part about him showing his calves. Thank you! It's the perfect antidote to some of the poison coming out of the tabloids. I know I shouldn't even read those stupid red tops

I liked that part too Julie :-) Great thing for him to do!

Why couldn't Adidas take a new pic. It's kinda disappointing that they've used a pic we've seen b4

thanks for the article. it is great to read something positive after see so many neagtive or rather nasty Brit media on Becks new pic. I must say that I really don't like those Engliand media as they are so neagtive about Becks. They don't recongnise how much glory that Becks brings to the country. To be honest, without Becks, us overseas could not care more or less about Engliand. North American medias were more embracing the ad. It is a piece of beautiful art work and he is a beautiful man.

Becks does a lot of good work and as the story says he keeps it private which I think says a lot about him

Thanks Anna! Such a cute banner so festive love the colors and of course Santa =)

I like the Adidas ad better than the Armani one

The weird thing I don't get is I can't think of a woman in the world who would get this sort of stick for something similar. Well perhaps the queen? Does that mean Becks is the unofficial King of England or are the Brits just a pack of hopeless prudes who think a healthy man should have to pretend he doesn't have a scotum to be tasteful? I mean wtf??

the media just don't understand that Beckham is very comfortable in his body and Armani is a good brand to represent. I guess they always find something negative to say about him even though it does not make sense. Yup, Ana nice banner :) I like the snow man too :)

PS Capello is looking like a done deal yeh?

wish we could see the new ad more clearly. It might be less revealing than the last one but that might just be the quality of the pic :-/ Black is a sexier color so am looking forward to seeing this ad properly!! :-)
8:32 PM
Hey Galaxy23 :) Yeah Capello is all but confirmed some tabloids have basically announced it but there's still some approval process to complete before the official announcement comes but it's expected today (UK time)

LOVE the banner, it's adorable!
The newest picture in Armani looks absolutely sexy. That man just makes me drool more and more each time a new image is released.

and yes inspiring stories, Beckham has done a lot of these---inspiring kids everywhere and if you notice most of them are published by local papers, Becks giving his time to these kids are precious indeed and one can see that it comes from his heart and not for show :)
