Becks to drop it like it’s hot?
(Source) ThePeople.co.uk is reporting that Becks is to work on the backing vocals with Snoop Dog for his next single. As many of you already know, David and Snoop have been friends for a while now and seem to be doing more and more business stuff together with talks of developing a line of slippers and now this.
Snoop said: “Me and my boy David come from separate worlds but it’s not just business talk – we also chat about our families.”
Another article from last week on the metro.co.uk site talks about this and other plans that the duo have. In this article, Snoop is quoted:
“Me and Becks became friends after I met him at the Live 8 concert. We furthered our friendship when he became part of the LA Galaxy.”
And:
“Through meeting from that, we continue to talk about doing a lot of things. We got a lot of great ideas. Hopefully one of them will come to light. Like movies, footwear, things of that nature that are different and bringing us both together. We try and combine his world and my world and something that is appealing to everybody”
I think that’s great. Two big names like that, whatever they decide to do together will get a lot of attention even if it wouldn’t be good

I agree with the second poster. Many David beckham fans visit the site to escape the tabloid stories and endless rumours and gossip.I am disappointed with Franco who seems to be leaning towards this tabloid stuff and ' unconfirmed reports' originating in gossip blogs. Please focus more on the facts and credible sources and what is directly relevant to David Beckham and his professional life.
Thanks for your honest feedback. I will try to post more things related directly to his professional career. On days where there are no activity in his professional life, would you rather I not post anything rather than posting things like this. And assume by gossip stuff, you guys mean the last post about contributing the backing vocal in Snoop's latest single?I don't want to disapoint anyone and will do my best to learn and post things that people on this site want to hear. I think the best way to do this is with your help like you have been giving and sharing your opinions. Snoop has been popular on this site in the last few days lolI know it is a slow news day but the first source posted has not been credible in the past and this hip-hop single was mentioned in your post of January 18, which is just recycled and touched up by The People. Nothing new imo We know that the media make up stuff when they cannot find any news on Becks but this site, being a support site, does not have to do the same and help the media spread the gossip. I know some of it is harmless and a bit of fun but it can get out of hand as gossip is addictive and you can easily lose your focus.
I don't think I mentioned the single before, or maybe it was mentioned in a link/source I posted. Thanks for your comments though, I try to research it from more than one source, the second source I posted, also looks to be mostly a tabloid and probably not "100% credible" – though it had a direct interview with snoop dog on the subject so I thought it to be true at that point, hence posting it. I get it though, I'll try and stick mostly to his soccer and surrounding professional activities and leave out his friendly deals with Snoop or others that turns up in my research, unless it gets posted on more reliable news sites.Cheers for all the feedback.

I agree with your comments. Perhaps the reason is because David does not play, and then the news are mostly gossip. Unfortunately the world of Becks is not composed only of sport, but also other activities. David is not only a sportman but it is also more. Hi Franco. It's not always easy to tell which are the tabs these days as a certain tab owner also owns so many "reliable" outlets as well
! One thing Anna did if there was gossip that was repeated in a lot of places, is to note it but also note that the sources were dodgy so we shouldn't jump to conclusions yet. The reason that I first started visiting this site is because it was such a great filter for English speaking media. It puts a lot of responsibility on you, if you decide to do it that way, but it is nice to have a site that does the research for me regarding what is fact and what is fiction. (Helps keep me from reading too much elsewhere and losing my temper too much!!!).Best luck,Diane

I´m probably late, but it´s so good that DBFO is still being updated by Franco.But I need to agree with the others, what was always good about coming here was seeing only real news focused on Becks as a professional footballer and as a good role model for many people.Please Franco, if possible, don´t post so many tabloids stuff, they all always want Becks to look ridiculous or any other bad word.I don´t appreciate their sensationalism. siniestrototal… thanks for the suggestions. I would certainly appreciate any help I can get.For the pictures section… I would appreciate help there too and also the patience of everyone. I am and will be trying to add more pictures but it's hard with 9,000 pictures to find non-duplicate pictures… so if I do post duplicates, please mention it so I can remove it. I will try to implement a "report picture" function that would send me a message for pictures you want to report as innapropriate or duplicate to make this easier.
Personally, I like the tabloid stuff. The thing that makes him unique as a footballer is that he does have that celebrity aspect of his life. I say continue on with some tabloid stuff & also sporting news. The reason I visit this site in particular is because it has the most comprehensive DB news out there. Keep it up!!!
