The Halifax Courier reported an amusing bit that testifies to just how popular David Beckham really is. According to the site thecomparisons.com, David Beckham is one of the most used "fake names" when people fill out things like car quote applications, mailing list applications, etc.He joins the likes of James Bond, Marylyn Monroe and Bob Marley!
Here is the list of the most widely used fake names out there :)
1) Joe Bloggs – 48 per cent
2) James Bond – 11 per cent
3) Fred Bloggs – 10 per cent
4) Bob Marley – 7 per cent
5) Ben Dover – 7 per cent

I’m sure you have seen it in most places but I was very proud and honoured last week, to be invited to Downing Street to meet the Prime Minister, Gordon Brown.
Mr Brown then returned the favour by visiting my Academy in Greenwich on Thursday and seeing the facilities for himself. I gave him the tour of the venue and he also met some of the children that were taking part as part of the Schools Programme. We both had a great question and answer session with them, which was really good fun.
Away from the Academy I’ve been continuing my training at Arsenal’s London Colney ground. I’ve been doing some work with the squad as well as plenty of gym work to build up my fitness in advance of the new season.

Now Magazine quoted Kerry Katona as writing in her diary:'David Beckham has apparently bought Brooklyn an iPhone which is totally ridiculous,'
I say... PFFT! He can buy him whatever he wants, maybe his child is more popular than yours and has a lot of friends to keep in touch with :)
Tom Cruise Recruiting The Beckhams?
A number of sites are talking about the relationship between Tom Cruise has with Victoria and David Beckham. They've been friends for years it seems and it's now reported that Tom with his plans of trying to recruit high profile celebrities to join the Scientology religion is now on a mission to recruit the Beckhams. Ok fine, if they would join, I think that's their personal choice and I think everyone will be ok with that and accept his decision. Just as long as he doesn't start jumping on Oprah's coach or doing any of the other crazy and odd things Tom's been reported as doing in recent years :/.Missing / lack of images?

Have you noticed how often Becks is on his Blackberry or some type of mobile? No, he's not talking but texting or playing games??? So, Becks buying iphone to Brooklyn is totally understandable.

Thanks for your hard work, my only feedback is if you could not post tabloid stuff like that iPhone story from Now magazine. Anna always made sure only creditable news and sources were posted.

Hi Franco, I agree the Beckhams can buy their kids whatever they need to in order to keep in touch as they travel so much! Especially for their eldest. Both parents have said since their ManU days that video conferencing has been really important to the family. Something so small that Brooklyn can carry that he can talk to them, see them, and write to them on makes sense.
LOL, my only question about whether the story is true is that you'd think it would have been Motorola that came up with something to meet their ambassador's needs ;-) .

I had really meant to say hello and tell you that it would be really interesting to know more about you if you are inclined, and have time, to tell us your life story...oops...I mean just a thing or two! We know Anna is a heritage ManU fan, how did you first became interested in David Beckham and/or football?

You have reason you, David is free to choose (we fans, respect his choice, even if some of us are not convinced share), I do not know if he is Catholic or Protestant, have no importance to me, but is not scientology a religion (naturally it is only my personal opinion). u12f coach: Thank you, I didn't really realize this to be insensitive... I am learning :) I certainly wouldn't want that so I will replace the pic in this story with another one.
Dianne - Iphone is from Apple (unless maybe it's distributed under motorola, I'm not sure. - THough, yes, I know what you mean, we can always question whether big celebrities actually buy stuff or companies give it to them for the exposure :)
The reason for posting this was just that I found it funny that someone would critcize them for buying it. Man, if I were rich like them, I'd spoil my kids at Christmas too, I don't see anything wrong with that. Must be annoying at time to have your every move criticize but I suppose they probably don't pay much attention to that after a while, they must build a filter for it :)

I'll be keeping my eye out for that Franco bio! You are right about the "tab-news" filter, they've said they just try not to read too much of it, then they also have really good senses of humor which always helps. They've even talked in interviews before about this exact kind of story and some of the REALLY insane things people claim they have bought their kids. (Although I agree that an iphone doesn't fall into that category).
