Telegraph has an article summing up David's contributions during last night's match here. Quotes:

"It's been a really good stay in Hawaii, it's just great that people enjoy watching me play, and watching the team play," Beckham said.

"That's always important, that the people, kids and everybody that comes to the game has fun and enjoys themselves."

Andrea Canales of ESPN penned an extensive piece about the Galaxy's improvements last night compared to their performance on Wednesday. The majority of it deals with the role David played in securing the win.

"We played our football and defended well," David Beckham pointed out after the match.

The Galaxy captain was the catalyst for both of L.A.'s goals, sending in a pinpoint cross for the first, while another pass triggered the sequence that led to the second Galaxy score.

Weekending with the PM
Sooner or later (dates not released for security reasons) David and Victoria will be joining their new friends UK PM Gordon Brown and his wife Sarah at their country estate Chequers. Entertainmentwise reports:

A pal of Beckhams tells The People, "They don't seem likely friends but the Browns have a lot of time for the Beckhams.

"Sarah does a lot of charity work and has previously called on Victoria to help. They get on well and Sarah knows Victoria and David can be relied on to send signed books or jeans or give time if possible.

"They are bound to have a great weekend together at Chequers."
