Hungry For More
Pretty quiet today, most of the news surrounds around either a) Beckham's performance or b) His hunger for more. As has already been mentioned here and even in his own blog post, David has every intention to carry on well past this 100th Cap if he has his way. Here's a nice article I enjoyed on this very subject.
I find frustrating the news article that seem to focus on his lack of performance or debates whether he should retire or not, shouldn't the focus be on the positive instead: That he WANTS to continue and will be working hard on his fitness and game to keep going and discuss what he accomplished instead of his "performance" and really, it's like they expected him to suddenly score a dozen goals just because it was his 100th Cap.
Ranting aside, I find his passion and love for the game very comforting and admirable. Here is a guy that really has nothing further to prove to anyone but perhaps he does to himself and that seems to be a very powerful motivation.
Strip away the layers of celebrity and all the money and fame and you find a true lover of the game, one that would give his heart and soul to it even if there would be no money involved. It's refreshing among other things to see this kind of dedication to the sport.
Here's to many more Caps!

Press English is horrible (the first enemy of England is the press). David will be sad, but he has always responded well, the wickedness has not destroyed him, in the past, even gave him more strength. Rooney and company have not fault? Unfortunately David pays for everybody. The english team must put the heart when playing for his country, and I removing Becks, I do not see any passion in them (perhaps I am mistaken, perhaps).Ciao everybody Loredana,Samuele, Gabiel

I agree, Loredana. English press are the worst in the world. I felt so anoyed every time when I read their negative comments on Becks.
