Youth Soccer & Match Preparations in China
Well, I promised more news from China today, but there isn't much to report! Obviously, the Galaxy are in Shanghai ahead of Wednesday's match, and they will have two days of training and according to reports, time to tour the city and a youth soccer clinic. I'm unsure if this clinic was part of the Motorola event held at Shanghai Luwan Gymnasium, where David played a little soccer with children. Details are sketchy at the moment.
We will of course keep checking for breaking news frequently and bring it to you!

Shanghai Pitch "Dangerous"
Ruud Gullit spoke out about the condition of the Shanghai pitch, on which the team will play on March 5th. The condition is so serious that after a training session there Gullit has answered questions about how long David will play in the game with clear reservations.
But whether Chinese fans get to see Beckham lace-up for the Galaxy's clash Wednesday against a Shanghai-Hong Kong team will depend on the hazardous pitch being adequately swept, Gullit said.
"The pitch is in bad shape and dangerous, there were stones and bones, shells, everything was on the pitch. It is pretty difficult to play on it, so I hope they can clean it," he said. (Source)
They have a couple days to whip the surface into shape, so let's cross our fingers they can make it safe by match day.
