Donovan launches book blast at Beckham
David Beckham has come under attack from L.A. Galaxy team-mate Landon Donovan just as he prepares to return for action with the MLS team.

In a new book due out later this month, Donovan claims Beckham has demonstrated little commitment to the Galaxy cause and has been a negative influence on the team since the ousting of former coach Ruud Gullit.

“All that we care about at a minimum is that he committed himself to us,” Donovan says in ‘The Beckham Experiment’, authored by Sports Illustrated writer Grant Wahl.

“As time has gone on, that has not proven to be the case in many ways – on the field, off the field.” Continue reading

David Beckham’s 11-year-old niece is battling swine flu after staying at an adventure camp.

Georgina Every, daughter of Becks’ sister Lynne, was one of three youngsters hit by the bug during the fiveday school outing. [...]

Lynne, 36, yesterday said she bitterly regretted letting Georgina attend after watching her suffer with coughing and aching limbs.

She added: “If I had known she would come back so sick I would have forfeited the money.” [...]

Georgina, now taking the anti-viral drug Tamiflu, was among 90 pupils from St Edward’s Primary, Romford, Essex at the PGL centre in Marchants Hill, Surrey. [...]

Happy Anniversary to David & Victoria, who were married on this day 10 years ago.

Although initial reports said they’d celebrate on Richard Branson’s Necker Island, gossip has it they’re spending the anniversary at a luxury eco-spa. Whatever they do, let’s hope they’re happy! :-)
