Maykel Galindo punctuated his recovery from a chronic hernia injury by scoring perhaps his most important goal in three years with Chivas USA.

Galindo scored in the 50th minute as Chivas USA rallied for a 2-all tie with the Los Angeles Galaxy in the first game of their Western Conference semifinal series Sunday.

The winner of the second and final game next Sunday will advance to the conference final. If the clubs teams tie again, they will play 30 minutes of overtime – to be followed by penalty kicks if necessary.

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has expressed his delight at the confirmation that Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham will be re-joining them in January in another loan deal.

The news has been hanging in the air for the past few weeks, but it was only confirmed yesterday that both club and player wanted to resume the experience they had interrupted in June of this year, when the English player returned to the USA.

Leo’s delight with Becks return

The Italian giants have announced that they have struck a deal with Beckham and his club Los Angeles Galaxy that will see him return to the San Siro.

Speaking to Sky Sports News after Milan’s Champions League draw with Real Madrid on Tuesday, Leonardo was happy with the Beckham news.

“It is done and we are really happy, he played here not just as a player but a man – he was really important and AC Milan is very happy he is back,” he told Sky Sports News.

“His charisma, and his talent – he is different to what we have and what he represents is something very important – if you have a player like that you are better – he is a complete personality and is very positive.” Keep reading
