Bid chief excited by the Beckham effect

Hi everyone

I’d like to start this blog by saying how proud I am of the Galaxy. For those of you who missed the game yesterday or the result, we lost the MLS Cup Final 5-4 on penalties.

We played Real Salt Lake and there wasn’t much in it, it ended up 1-1 after 90 minutes. There were still no goals after extra time, so we moved onto the lottery of a penalty shoot-out, which we lost 5-4. Penalties are a tough way to lose but it just wasn’t our day.

But this year I feel we’ve played well as a team and been successful, and it’s definitely something we can build on for next season, and hopefully go one better.

Next up for me is a bit of rest, as I’m carrying a few minor niggles. I'm also travelling to South Africa on behalf of the 2018 World Cup bid team and then onto the World Cup draw. I'm really looking forward to both, I'll let you know how I get on.

Take care, David
